As a Human Resources Generalist at DZSP 21, the primary responsibility was to manage multiple HR functions for over 800 union and non-union employees. This included recruitment, hiring, orientation, staff training, on-boarding, employee development, payroll, benefits administration, worker’s compensation, and work medical and drug screening. The role involved managing the HR Information System to ensure up-to-date employee information, timesheets, training, compensation, physical examinations, and drug screening results.
The Human Resources Generalist also had experience in modifying the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the union workforce, which involved collaborating and negotiating with designated union representatives at every function of the employment life cycle. The goal was to ensure the smooth functioning of HR operations and to support the company's mission of providing exceptional services across the contract and becoming the Navy's BOS "contractor of choice" while serving our customers and upholding our client's commitment to provide the highest quality of life for our service members and their families.
