Lucas is also one of the fastest growing additive lines in the consumer automotive industry. A premium line of oils, greases and problem solving additives has helped to firmly establish Lucas as a prominent figure in this marketplace. Lucas also produces a heavy duty line of products for the industrial and agricultural markets. President Forrest Lucas sums it up, "Our forte' is to make better products for industries and specialty situations that are not having their needs completely satisfied by other oil products and, believe me, the major oil companies have left a lot of weak spots. We have an excellent staff and a world of technology which we have gained through years of research. Together we have done a great deal in a short period of time and we intend to do a lot more." Lucas has long been directly involved in the American racing industry through multiple vehicle sponsorships and racing event promotions, at all levels. We Deliver... Our mission is as simple and as focused as that. For over 125 years, we have taken pride in delivering on our promises. Whether we are working to satisfy the energy needs of power plants, providing fleet trucks to logistics carriers or simply providing brick, block and mortar to a single customer’s home, we deliver. Since its inception in 1879, Alley-Cassetty Companies, Inc. has cultivated its small retail coal business into one of the fastest growing companies in the south according to Inc. magazine, and today, it ranks as one of Nashville’s largest private 100 companies. In an effort to corner the Nashville market for residential coal supply, the longstanding family businesses of Cassetty Coal Company and Frank Alley Coal Company merged in 1964. Since then the coal division has transitioned into commercial and industrial supply and this growth has fueled significant diversification. Alley-Cassetty entered the brick and related material delivery business in 1971. The building supply division now encompasses ten offices in TN, KY and GA with a premier portfolio of residential and commercial products. In 1980, the firm established it's Alley-Cassetty Trucking Division, which has flourished into a full service hauler, specializing in hazardous and non-hazardous customized transportation. Also in 1980, the company opened Custom Truck Sales and Service (now Alley-Cassetty Truck Center), a full service dealership offering commercial sales and service.
