The Iowa State University Foundation is a private non-profit organization dedicated to securing and stewarding private gifts and grants that benefit Iowa State University. Each year, thousands of generous benefactors make gifts to show their support for Iowa State. The ISU Foundation works with Iowa State administrators, deans and unit leaders to determine the university's fundraising priorities. These projects may include professorships, faculty support, student scholarships, facility improvements, new equipment, athletic support, program enhancements and new buildings, just to name a few. The ISU Foundation staff and volunteer leadership works in partnership with university officials to generate private support for ISU.

Since its inception in 1997, the Krell Institute, a 501c(3) corporation, has provided technical resources, knowledge and experience in managing technology-based education and information programs, including two of the most successful fellowships offered by a U.S. science agency. Krell is named after the advanced civilization that once inhabited the planet Altair IV in the classic 1956 science fiction movie “Forbidden Planet.”

Since 1921 Faith has pursued its mission of equipping men and women to take the Word of God to every corner of the world. More than 8,000 students have taken courses at Faith and are currently serving God as pastors, missionaries, teachers, businessmen and women, electricians, coaches, financial advisors, all as effective servants of Christ here in the United States and in 30 countries around the globe. Every student that God leads to our beautiful 52-acre suburban campus will receive a double major (all our students receive a Bible Core) and a fully accredited degree. Our students will also have the opportunity to apply what they are learning in one of the many churches in the area, across the globe on a short term missions trip, or in our ARRIBA! study abroad program. We take seriously our role of assisting the homes of our students and their local churches in further training our students to make in eternal impact in the lives of others and to serve God faithfully. The Iowa High School Athletic Association is a 501(c)(3) that has proudly provided boys' interscholastic sports and student activities in Iowa since 1904.

The Harkin Institute for Public Policy & Citizen Engagement exists to inform citizens, inspire creative cooperation, and catalyze change on issues of social justice, fairness, and opportunity. The Harkin Institute was founded in the spring of 2013 on the premise that good public policy is best achieved when policymakers have access to high quality information, political processes are open and well-understood, and citizens are informed and active participants. The institute facilitates collaborative, high-quality, nonpartisan, multi-disciplinary public policy research in the areas that defined Senator Tom Harkin's career: people with disabilities, retirement security, wellness and nutrition, and labor and employment. The Harkin Institute also fosters active and informed citizen engagement in public decision-making and policy-making and serves as a source of information on public policy issues and political processes for the state of Iowa and the nation. The institute's research, education, and outreach will expand knowledge and understanding of policy issues among students, scholars, and the public. The Harkin Institute is located at Drake University, the proud home of Senator Harkin's papers, spanning 40 years in public service and addressing some of the most pressing issues of the past half-century.
