My duties As Mine Manager at the Trixie Mine have been very diverse. The mine had been operating for a short time when I started and was operating with very little structure, supervision, and a revolving door turnover rate. This gave me the opportunity to build a team and work culture from the ground up. This was accomplished by finding and hiring top rate people to head all my departments, maintenance, electrical, surface ops, and mining. Then working closely with them to develop procedures, operational and safety plans, as well as pay scales and bonus systems to improve safety, increase production, overall morale, and reduce turnover to a minimum.
