* Scaled production of the second largest brewery in Central Texas from inception to a capacity of 30,000 barrels a year * Responsible for all aspects of the brewery’s production operations including: raw materials procurement, quality control, inventory management, and packaging * Scheduling all standard brewing operations and running daily logistics while making ad hoc changes to meet the needs of sales team and local customers * Continual assessment of supplier quality to maintain tight cost-controls and maximize business operational performance * Recipe conception, formulation, sourcing, and integration * Steered the development of both the new brewhouse (2017) and the pilot brewhouse (2019) * Directly manage a team of 13+ as well as partnering closely with other departments and executive staff * Conduct regular team training, semi-annual reviews, shift audits, and employee evaluations * Operate 1-2 brew shifts a week to keep a pulse on day-to-day operations * Created standard operating procedures from ground up (2011) and established the brewery’s daily task list programs (2013) * Scouted talent for operations resulting in highly-trained personnel in critical roles ready to act quickly

What began as an acquaintance as winemakers in the Hill Country became a collaboration between William "Bill" Blackmon and Chris Brundrett, focusing on a shared winemaking philosophy. At William Chris, we agree that great wines are grown in the vineyard, and we also believe that wine should be inspired by the pleasure that is shared with an extended community of friends and family. The creation of each new vintage depends greatly upon these two priorities. We bottled our first vintage under the William Chris label in 2008, utilizing Old-World winemaking techniques to create a genuine expression of the Hill Country's distinctive terroir. The Old-World method integrates farming, tradition, and local culture, and Bill and Chris kept this in mind as they sought out a property to build our winery. Deciding on a pioneer farm settlement in the historic town of Hye, Texas, they began the project to restore a 1905 farmhouse, the future home of the original William Chris Tasting Room. With the winery and tasting facilities completed in 2011, we planted the Hye Estate Vineyard next to the winery in March of 2012. In 2019, we opened our new state-of-the-art Hye Society Members Tasting Room which is available by reservation to the public during the week, and reserved for our wine club members on the weekends. Today our goal is to consistently achieve a level of quality with our wines that represents the very best of Texas in each new vintage. Located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, Jester King is an authentic farmhouse brewery committed to making artisan ales of great depth and character. Like the small, farmhouse breweries that inspired us, we seek to embrace nature and local terroir in our brewing, giving our beers a true sense of place. We draw water from our well at the brewery to make our beer and at times call upon naturally occurring yeast from the Texas Hill Country to shape our unique flavors. We are a USDA certified organic brewery, and use as many organic ingredients as possible. We do not rush beer to market, but instead allow it to mature naturally – often in oak barrels – prior to re-fermentation in the bottle, cask, or keg.
