Our Mission The Houston Zoo connects communities with animals, inspiring action to save wildlife. Our Vision The Houston Zoo will be a leader in the global movement to save wildlife. The Houston Zoo is made up of many moving parts. We have over 6,000 permanent residents (our animals) for whom we provide housing, meals, medical care and, yes, even education! There are over 2 million guests each year who come to experience our incredible variety of animals and ecosystems, as well as attend special private and public events and entertainment. Our dedicated staff works around the clock to ensure that the Zoo is always running smoothly for the safety and well being of our residents and guests.

River Oaks Country Club (ROCC) is a prestigious, private, member-owned social and athletic Club. River Oaks'​ management team has hundreds of years of experience across many diverse industries. Whether it is hospitality, culinary, catering, fitness, golf, tennis or swimming, the ROCC staff is eager to serve respectfully with their talents. Since its founding in 1923, River Oaks Country Club has provided quality for its members and continues to build true, valuable relationships.

The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees is the largest union representing workers in the entertainment industry in The United States and Canada. Our members work in all forms of live theater, motion picture production, television production, television broadcasting, trade shows, exhibitions, and concerts, as well as the equipment and construction shops that support all these areas of the entertainment industry. We represent virtually all the behind-the-scenes workers in crafts ranging from motion picture animation to theater ushering.

The Briar Club is a family Club with an array of impressive amenities on a distinctly beautiful five-acre site. Its convenient location, nestled in the heart of Houston, caters to a private membership of all ages looking for relaxation, social activities, fitness and fun. The social hub reaches out to the surrounding neighborhoods including River Oaks, West University Place, the Museum District and the Galleria area. Chartered in 1949, The Briar Club remains a prominent city club for many reasons. Year-round events, a fully equipped fitness center, heated swimming pools, tennis courts, youth and senior programs and a variety of dining and banquet options are just a few features that make this Club shine among the best. The Briar Club is a private membership club and is owned by its Equity members. As with other clubs, our Members join the Club and continue their memberships because of the benefits, privileges and services they receive. Our staff values our members, and we take pride in offering excellent service and a family-friendly atmosphere.

We are a private, member-owned yacht club. Located on 38 beautifully landscaped acres on Clear Lake beyond the busy highways of East Harris County, Lakewood Yacht Club is an exceptional environment for social and water activities. The Club has over 300 covered and open boat slips for any boat aficionado. Lakewood is so much more than just a yacht club for docking your boat, however. It is a haven for members, their families and guests. There is a sense of peace and tranquility here combined with an unparalleled camaraderie that makes Lakewood an escape from your everyday life. Add to that the club’s calendar which is overflowing with a variety of social and water activities for all ages and you have a remarkable place to get involved and meet lifelong friends. The Bermuda-style clubhouse provides Lakewood’s 500 plus members with harbor-view dining facilities and excellent cuisine. Lakewood has a stunning bar and piano lounge with several large screen televisions. At the other end of the clubhouse is a harbor-view Ballroom for monthly holiday/event parties as well as popular Sunday Champagne brunches. Children enjoy visiting their friends and playing games in our supervised Game Room while their parents partake of a quiet dinner meal. Lakewood has a strong agenda of regattas and cruises organized by Lakewood's enthusiastic volunteers. An active Ladies Association holds monthly luncheon meetings as well as a fun-filled trip each year. Our Youth Program, known as the Seahorses, is recognized as the best in Texas and is guided year-round by the club's parent volunteers and coaches. Established in 1955, the Club has served the Clear Lake boating community for over 60 years.

Founded in 1946, Houston Golf Association (HGA) is a not-for-profit, tax exempt 501c (3) organization bolstered by a strong group of volunteer members. A prolific charity fundraiser, Houston Golf Association is host organization to the 10th longest running PGA TOUR event on schedule, the Houston Open, which has played a crucial role in raising more than $69 million for local charities. Delivering on its promise to make golf accessible to all, Houston Golf Association operates HGA Junior Golf, hosts amateur golf events, works with the City to restore municipal golf courses and amenities, and holds the charter for The First Tee of Greater Houston providing 350,000 local youth with learning facilities and educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.

BIG Power Yoga is a community of four yoga studios. Two in Houston, TX, one in Denver, CO, and one in Steamboat, CO. Founded and owned by Nancy Perry and Laura Rust. Nancy and Laura came together in 2011 with a commitment to create a yoga community in Houston unlike any other. They wanted to create an environment of inclusion, accessibility, fun, and depth hat brings people together. The name BIG is sourced from the Baptiste Yoga philosophy of "Being up to something bigger than yourself, and just happened to align perfectly with our Texas locale, and with their vision for the growth of yoga in Houston. BIG's business philosophy is “I’m empowered, you’re empowered, we’re empowered.” In other words, any decision we make is with the empowerment of the entire community in mind, from the level of each of us as individuals, to our community of students, to our employees, to our community, and to the world. Our core values are integrity, community, possibility, empowerment, and fun. BIG started with 1 studio space and 25 classes per week, and has grown to 6 studio spaces, including kids yoga studios, and offers over 200 classes per week. We serve over 200,000 yogis in Houston annuals and have expanded our offerings to include SUP yoga, kids yoga, personal and corporate coaching, retreats, and more.
