Originally located on Penn Avenue in Telford, PA, the business started as a family-owned flat glass shop serving the needs of the local community. With Stan working long hours at the shop and Bob retaining his job as a local milkman, Alderfer Glass became a recognized name in the community. As business grew, Bob worked full-time with Stan, a shop was built on the current site at 144 Telford Pike, and employees were added. This “home” shop was expanded many times thereafter to serve the growing needs of Southeastern Pennsylvania. In subsequent years locations were added in Lansdale, Limerick, Quakertown and Lehigh Valley to better serve the demands of the greater Delaware Valley and Lehigh Valley area(s). ALDERFER GLASS CO is still family owned and integrates two generations of the Alderfer family. Quality, service, value and honesty are the benchmarks of the Alderfer name and will continue as the business moves further into the 21st century.
