Makers of the world's finest socks, base layers and accessories for cyclists, runners, and outdoor enthusiasts. Creators of the Aireator®, the original air-flow design sock. Our Custom Shop knits orders for clubs, teams, schools, corporations and events. All products are crafted in our own DeFeet USA factory located in Hildebran, North Carolina. We source the finest ingredients as locally as possible. We have pioneered usage of fibers made from recycled resources. Our entire line is made with recycled fibers as well as USA merino wools that are grown, washed and dyed without ever leaving the United States. Founded in 1992 by Hope and Shane Cooper, DeFeet craftsmanship and attention to detail has captured the attention of a global customer base. Within a few years of it's launch, DeFeet products were used to take the Tour de France, World Championships, multiple one day Classic's and scores of the toughest endurance athletic tests on the planet. Cyclists and runners demanded DeFeet socks be worn in their shoes. In the midst of a tremendous growth phase, the DeFeet factory suddenly burned to the ground on October 21, 2001. DeFeet entered an arduous rebuilding period. The state-of-the-art DeFeet USA Factory was built on top of the ashes of the old. Today, DeFeet employs many skilled craftspeople, technicians, service representatives and sales and marketing professionals. The quality, craftsmanship and performance of DeFeet products come with unequalled durability ratings. The DeFeet team of employees and the best customer base imaginable make the company what it is today. In 2010, DeFeet was awarded North Carolina "Business of the Year". In 2012, DeFeet was awarded the prestigious "President's E-Award". Initiated by President John F. Kennedy, the E-Awards goes to American brands that show excellence in product export from the United States.
