Dover Motor Speedway continues to be one of the most unique venues on the NASCAR circuit. The facility is known for its concrete surface, severely banked corners and signature trophies, and is a favorite among fans and drivers alike. Dover International Speedway, known as the world’s fastest one-mile concrete oval, has been hosting NASCAR events since 1969. With a unique blend of speeds in excess of 175 mph, and banking of nine degrees on its narrow straightaways and 24 degrees in its sweeping turns, Dover has earned the nickname the “Monster Mile” for its tough nature on both man and machine. Built in 2008, The Monster Monument at Victory Plaza, stands 46-feet tall and holds a full-scale stock car in the monster’s right hand. The base of the monument pays tribute to race winners at Dover and features dedications to legendary drivers who are recognized for their special accomplishments earned on the high banks of the Monster Mile.

Arden Theatre Company is dedicated to bringing to life the greatest stories by the greatest storytellers. We draw from any source that is inherently dramatic and theatrical – fiction, nonfiction, poetry, music and drama. The Arden presents programs for the diverse greater Philadelphia community that arouse, provoke, challenge, illuminate and inspire. Founded in 1988 by Terrence J. Nolen, Amy Murphy and Aaron Posner, Arden Theatre Company began producing at the 70-seat Walnut Street Theatre Studio and was immediately hailed as a welcome addition to the Philadelphia theatre community. After our second season, we co-founded the St. Stephen’s Performing Arts Center to provide us with a larger theatre (150 seats) and a unified location for classes, education programs, administrative offices and production shops. Our five seasons at St. Stephen’s were marked with continued growth. In 1995, Arden Theatre Company purchased a 50,000-square-foot building in Philadelphia’s historic Old City neighborhood. The building has been renovated to contain a 360-seat mainstage theatre (F. Otto Haas Stage); the 175-seat studio theatre (Arcadia Stage); the Independence Foundation Studio; a bi-level lobby with box office, elevator and restrooms; rehearsal and classroom space; and administrative and production offices. Our move to our new home sparked even more growth for the Arden, and played a significant role in the economic revitalization of Old City. Today, Arden Theatre Company is a full-service professional regional theatre, offering the highest quality theatrical and educational productions and programs to the artists, audiences and students of the greater Philadelphia region. We are a dynamic and successful theatre company with strong ties to the community and a reputation for artistic excellence, educational innovation, and fiscal responsibility.

The Crossing is a Grammy-winning professional chamber choir conducted by Donald Nally that is dedicated to new music. It is committed to working with creative teams to make and record new, substantial works for choir – most often addressing social issues – with the possibility of changing the way we think about writing for choir, singing in choir, and listening to music for choir. Highly sought-after for collaborative projects, The Crossing’s first partnership was as the resident choir of the Spoleto Festival in Italy, in 2007. Since then, collaborators include Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, National Sawdust, the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), American Composers Orchestra, Network for New Music, Lyric Fest, PRISM Saxophone Quartet, Beth Morrison Projects, Pig Iron Theatre Company, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Mostly Mozart Festival, National Gallery of Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Cleveland Museum, Institute for Advanced Study, and Northwestern University. Each summer, The Crossing holds an annual residency at the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center in Big Sky, Montana. With a commitment to recording its commissions, The Crossing has issued 14 releases, receiving a Grammy Award for Best Choral Performance in 2018, its second nomination in as many years.
