New York, New York

Shake Shack sprouted from a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park (NYC) to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s first art installation. The cart was quite the success, with Shack fans lined up daily for three summers. In 2004, a permanent kiosk opened in the park: Shake Shack was born. This modern day “roadside” burger stand serves up the most delicious burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, shakes, beer, wine and more. An instant neighborhood fixture, we welcomed people from all over the city, country and world who gathered together to enjoy fresh, simple, high-quality versions of the classics. The rest, as they say, is burger history. And since day one, it would not have been possible without our stellar team! As a member of the #ShackFam, you can expect an exciting work atmosphere with a culture focused on family, fun and community. We’re committed to providing equal opportunities for success, removing obstacles and fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion and empowerment to ensure that Shake Shack continues to be a great place to work. That’s why we’re so proud to have earned 100% on Human Right Campaign’s 2019 Corporate Equality Index for LGBTQ-inclusive workplace policies and practices, a designation that highlights the core of our ethos here at Shake Shack. THE POMPTONIAN

Fairfield, New Jersey

Pomptonian's history of excellence in food service dates back 60 years. Soon we brought our restaurant flair to New Jersey School Food Service. Serving your children the way we would serve our own children. The Pomptonian was established in 1959. Founded as a restaurant, The Pomptonian, in Cedar Grove, New Jersey was located across the street from the popular Meadowbrook Dinner Theater. In 1961, the town of Cedar Grove completed construction of its High School and needed someone to run the cafeteria. The Board members approached The Pomptonian restaurant, asking for some temporary help, and we are still thriving in that district today. The restaurant flair The Pomptonian brought to school food service spurred commendations and recommendations. In 1970, the company was managing four school cafeterias and had another two coming aboard early the next year. The restaurant was sold and Pomptonian’s efforts were devoted entirely to quality school service. The reputation of quality and innovative service earned by each Pomptonianite encouraged more and more districts to join the family of Pomptonian cafeterias. Throughout the years, the company has enjoyed diversified experiences in food service, including restaurants, catering, corporate dining, and school service. For many years our single focus has been on school service. Pomptonian serves over 100 school districts throughout the state of New Jersey and has over 2,000 employees. The excellent service we provide to our valued customers has enabled us to enjoy successful relationships with our existing accounts while fueling our growth.

CHICKIES AND PETES INC
CHICKIES AND PETES INC
Bensalem, Pennsylvania

The taste of Philadelphia sports came alive late one night in 1987. An argument and a brotherly brawl over mom’s unique gravy at 4 am in the Ciarrocchi household, led to what is now the unique Chickie’s & Pete’s zesty cuisine. With a mother’s ingredients, a respected family business, and Pete’s own tried, tested, and perfected French fry reinvention, Crabfries®, Pete Ciarrocchi was destined for success. The story began a decade earlier when, in 1977, Peter and Henrietta Ciarrocchi bought the Robbins Avenue taproom in the Mayfair neighborhood of Philadelphia. Young Pete followed his parents’ example and served the regulars with a smile. He was and still is a friend to all. Growing up Pete ran with both jocks and rockers. He could change minds, influence peers, and even reinvent taste. In 1987 Pete made sure his parents’ legacy lived on. Pete became the face of Chickie’s & Pete’s with the help of his brother, Tom. His charisma, dynamic personality, and great food were enough to bring in the crowds on Sunday to celebrate, jeer, and be Philadelphia. Pete understood the pulse of the city: food, sports, and people. In 1998, The Vet, the once home of the “Iggles” and the “Phightin’ Phils” became Pete’s new home and kingdom. Led by his proprietary Crabfries®, the Mayfair family business became a fan favorite concession. Pete’s infectious energy and impressive cuisine became his recipe for success. From Andy Reid’s late night meetings, “taxi crabbing” Eagles players from airport to complex, to mixing it up with Oprah and Jon Bon Jovi, Pete Ciarrocchi’s success has exploded. The Chickie’s & Pete’s hometown flavor has expanded to 10 locations across Philadelphia and New Jersey and was voted ESPN’s #1 Sports Bar on the East Coast. In late 2009, Pete unveiled his “reinvention of the sports bar,” PLAY². This trademarked concept… where you don’t just watch sports on TV, you become the sport… has massive momentum and is our platform for growth.
