FAA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
FAA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
Memphis, Tennessee
11-50 employees
A primary purpose of credit unions in furthering their goal of service is to encourage members to save money. Members pool their assets - that is, their money - to form the basis of the credit union's other financial services. One of these services, and another purpose of a credit union, is to offer loans to members. Traditionally, credit unions have made loans available to people of ordinary means, thus, members who may not be eligible for loans elsewhere may be able to get a loan at their credit union. Credit unions can charge lower rates for loans (in addition to paying higher dividends on savings) because they are nonprofit cooperatives. Rather than paying profits to stockholders, credit unions return earnings to members in the form of dividends or improved services. The purpose of the FAA Federal Credit Union is to maintain a sound, full-service financial institution managed with prudence, compassion, and vision, for maximum member benefit.

Ironwood is a diverse, national credit card and payments processing company specializing in partnerships with financial institutions. We understand the ever-changing payments industry and offer our partners current, customized solutions delivered with integrity and best-in-class support. Serving thousands of merchants of across the country, our top priority is always customer satisfaction. We implement our core values of integrity, transparency and teamwork into every relationship we build. We know that the payments industry isn’t always customer-focused. We’re here to change that. Our owners, John Lewis and Dee Lovelace, are award-winning payments industry veterans with a passion for bringing integrity and transparency to payments processing. While a student at The University of Mississippi, John co-founded a company that expanded into a national credit card merchant services company exclusively serving banks. Dee worked alongside John as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of the company for eleven years. They formed bank partnerships with bank branch locations in 32 U.S. states and were listed in the Inc. 500 “List of America’s Fastest-Growing Companies.” In 2015, the lifelong friends came together to form Ironwood with a goal of creating a trustworthy, customer-focused credit card processing company. Today, we serve merchants in a variety of different industries, giving them a partner they can rely on throughout the life of their business.
