Manage staff and day to day operations of tribal government finance department including payroll, accounts payable, per capita and loans per policy guidelines; troubleshoot issues
Prepare/maintain/monitor annual budget for tribal operations (manage the general ledger)
Schedule external audits, creating controls and processes as needed based on audit findings
Manage cash flow; maintain, monitor and reconcile multiple checking accounts
Proactively seek improvements and efficiencies in all areas
Develop and maintain numerous spreadsheets for tracking and reconciling purposes
Respond to community member requests and complaints via written and oral communication following organization policies and procedures, requesting policy changes as needed
Prepare/File quarterly payroll taxes and reimbursement billing, yearly ACA reporting and W2s
Manage Unemployment, Work Comp, FMLA and 401k paperwork and reporting
