It all started with a simple request from one of the most powerful men in history. In 1923, Henry Ford instructed his general secretary to "lay out a good, practical golf club that anybody could use." With those thirteen words, the Dearborn Country Club in historic Dearborn, Michigan was born. Dearborn Country Club is a traditional, family-oriented club located conveniently between downtown Detroit and the western suburbs. The club features one of the most challenging, yet playable 18 holes of golf found in the state of Michigan, great dining, quality service and facilities with year-round recreational, family and social activities. Golf Digest began it's description of Shepherd's Hollow with a question; "Do you believe in miracles?" Rated the 42nd best public golf course in the nation, at Shepherd's Hollow seeing is believing. Set on more than 350 rolling acres, at one of the highest elevations in Oakland County, Shepherd's Hollow is among the most unique golfing experiences in the state of Michigan. 27 holes tucked into a towering forest of pine and oak offers the golfer a natural setting that provides a sense of tranquility. The golf is only part of the story. Our secluded club house offers beautiful surroundings with complete dining facilities. Our relaxing open air veranda and pine covered terrace allow each diner to enjoy the splendor of nature with a wide variety of expertly prepared culinary delights. We think you'll agree that dinner here is more than a meal, it's a unique dining experience. All the beauty of nature...with all the comforts that a great golf course can offer, it's enough to make a believer out of anyone.
