Transitioned to Compliance Consultant following long-tenured role as Safety & Compliance Manager. Diligently maintained US Coast Guard regulatory compliance for a fleet of 9 vessels operating in the Intercoastal Waterway (e.g., the Gulf of Mexico). Served as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) performing safety and compliance audits aboard company vessels, while coordinating all audits with 3rd party organizations. Key Accomplishments & Contributions:Expertly performed incident investigation and root cause analysis of all near-miss or recordable incidents company-wide. Functioned as a Safety Program Manager, Shore-Based Point of Contact, and Document Controller for Marine Operations.Successfully achieved 100% OCIMF Stage 1 compliance within 4 months of hire (up from 79%), and increased Stage 2 compliance levels from 66% to 97% within 6 months of hire. Significantly decreased overdue action items by over 75% through the development of comprehensive electronic internal audit forms, team training programs, and daily operational checklists. Conceptualized and launched a complete risk analysis program, including hazard identification, permit-to-work, and risk assessment forms for towboat and barge operations.
