Special Olympics Florida provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities, at no cost to the athlete or their caregiver, as a means to achieve physical fitness, self-esteem, socialization skills, and the life skills necessary to be a productive, respected and contributing members of their communities. Founded by the late Eunice Kennedy Shriver, Special Olympics is the world’s largest program of sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, serving 3.7 million people in more than 170 countries. In Florida, 25,000 athletes train and compete year round, in 20 different team and individual sports of their choice. Founded in 1972, Special Olympics Florida is a certified 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization funded solely through the generosity of individuals, businesses and civic groups. This support allows Special Olympics to never charge the athlete or their families a fee for participation.

Health-ISAC (Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center), is a global, non-profit, member-driven organization where health sector stakeholders join a trusted community and forum for coordinating, collaborating and sharing vital physical and cyber threat intelligence and best practices with each other. Members use this information to extend their security operations team and to create situational awareness, inform risk-based decision-making and mitigate against threats. Membership is open to public & private hospitals, ambulatory providers, health insurance payers, pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturers, laboratory, diagnostic, medical device manufacturers, medical schools, medical R&D organizations and other relevant health sector stakeholders. Central Florida Cares Health System, Inc. (CFCHS) is a not-for-profit organization contracted by the Florida Department of Children and Families to oversee state-funded mental health and substance abuse treatment services in Circuits 9 and 18 (Brevard, Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties). As a managing entity we are a behavioral health administrative and management organization, and our primary focus is to promote a comprehensive, seamless system of recovery and resiliency to those individuals in our community who are in need of these services.

Families and individuals partner with Habitat Orlando & Osceola to purchase homes with an affordable mortgage. Through Face the Housing Crisis™ and the Cornerstone Housing™ Framework, Habitat Orlando & Osceola is working with community partners to address the wicked problem of the affordable housing crisis in Central Florida and its detrimental effects on community priorities. Founded in 1986, Habitat Orlando & Osceola has built, rehabbed or repaired over 850 homes throughout Central Florida. The nonprofit has achieved recognition as one of the 40 “top producers” out of over 1,100 Habitat for Humanity International affiliates working in communities throughout the United States and in more than 70 countries and is a HUD-certified local Housing Counseling Agency.

The purpose of the Early Learning Coalition of Seminole (ELC), now in its 19th year, is to invest in the future of our community, by investing in the lives of our children through the provision of quality early education and child care. By providing families with financial assistance for child care, we help to educate the next generation, which translates to higher employment and self-sufficiency for Seminole County families. In addition, we help all families with locating child care providers based on their needs, preference and available resources. We also offer developmental screenings to make sure children are reaching appropriate milestones as well as free vision and hearing screenings for children aged 0-4. Research has proven that early childhood education is essential for a child’s development of critical skills and provides a foundation for future success. We aim to improve opportunity and reduce stress on parents by offering affordable child care, which allows them to better contribute to the community while strengthening the life trajectory of the next generation. Through our partnerships with local agencies, we are able to fulfill our purpose by providing additional early intervention services such as trainings and evaluations for child care teachers and guidance for caregivers on locating early intervention resources. Crosswinds began in 1974 in response to community outcry over the discovery of several graves in the area containing the bodies of teenagers who had run away and had been murdered. The community reacted to the shock of this tragedy by opening the organization's first program -- an emergency children's shelter -- and vowing never to let this happen again. Today, the Crosswinds shelter program is still providing a safety net and a new beginning for Brevard County's youth and their families. Over the years Crosswinds has grown to provide a range of programs and services developed in response to some of the most critical issues facing youth and their families. These programs offer emergency residential care and supportive services for children in crisis; provide homeless youth with transitional housing and skills training while they work on becoming self-sufficient; help youth age out of the foster care system as independent young adults; assist and reunite families in crisis through counseling; take endangered teenagers off the streets; provide timely interventions for young offenders; and more. Each day young people come through Crosswinds' doors facing what would seem to most adults to be impossible obstacles. These obstacles can present major challenges to a young person's success. However, time and again Crosswinds has also seen these very same youth display exceptional ability and determination to turn their lives around. Crosswinds Youth Services' mission -- creating opportunities for young people to succeed -- embodies the organization's foremost belief that, offered the right opportunities, all young people can reach their full potential regardless of any challenges they may have faced.

Friends of Children and Families, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for at-risk children and their families, and give them the opportunity to develop into well-adjusted and productive members of society. Friends of Children and Families, Inc. was founded in 1984, as a supporting organization, which helped CHARLEE Family Care Services provide care and housing for foster children in Orange, Seminole, Polk and Osceola County for almost 25 years. In 2008, CHARLEE Family Care Services ceased operations; at that time the Board Of Directors for Friends of Children and Families made the decision to continue the mission of serving the children of Central Florida. FRIENDS’ philosophy is based on the belief that if children are provided with love, a sense of security, structure and positive opportunities for growing in a family and community atmosphere, then healthy development will occur. FRIENDS strives to provide that kind of environment by providing the necessary services, support, and care for children in need. The primary goals of FRIENDS are to provide an environment that is conducive to the growth and safety of our children, enhance the lives of children who have been diagnosed with emotional and behavioral disturbances, and offer the needed services and programs which develop the cognitive and social skills of the children.

The Sharing Center has been preventing homelessness and hunger since 1986. Last year, 17,000 neighbors received a hand up during the toughest times of their lives. By sharing food, providing emergency financial assistance and essential resources such as bus passes to gain steady employment, brand new shoes for a child in need, or a warm shower and free laundry service - we are helping to create respite and comfort for those on the brink of hunger and homelessness. Our Oasis is the only resource drop-in facility in Seminole County for our homeless neighbors to find community and support during their journey. Roughly 98% of our workforce are volunteers; serving over 42,000 hours to help fulfill our mission in our Distribution Center, Pantry, and Thrift Stores. 90% of every donation or purchase supports our neighbors in need.
