Child Development Resources serves families with infants and toddlers from birth to age three in Williamsburg, James City County, York County, and Poquoson, Virginia. Virginia Home for Boys and Girls (VHBG) is a nonprofit organization that has been serving youth in crisis since 1846. Habilitation programs also provide training activities to persons who experience severe or profound intellectual disabilities and/or multiple disabilities. Curriculums include but are not limited to business development, independent living skills, as well as art, music and physical therapy for individuals 21 years of age and up. Specific programs are geared towards the aging population. Additionally, independent community living is provided through residential services with necessary support provided by the agency. Service such as respite care, in-home services, assistance with medical appointments, transportation or obtaining benefits and other resources within the community can be established on a one-time or ongoing basis.
