Established more than 120 years ago, Columbia Country Club is a private, member-owned club, formerly known as Columbia Golf Club. The Columbia Golf Club was organized on September 29, 1898 by nine men with a mission to promote "educational, literary and scientific purposes; social activities and mutual improvements; and to support athletic exercise, outdoor sport and amusement." The first location of the Club was on the east side of Brightwood Avenue, later known as Georgia Avenue, in the neighborhood of Schuetzen Park. In a short time, the Club moved to a site further north on the west side where a vacant lot was converted into a crude nine-hole golf course. The Columbia Golf Club was disbanded following the last round of golf on December 31, 1910. At the time, 200 of the 600 members became supporters of the newly created Columbia Country Club.

WESTWOOD COUNTRY CLUB, INC.
WESTWOOD COUNTRY CLUB, INC.
Vienna, Virginia
50-99 employees
In 1908, a group of businessmen calling themselves "The Westwood Club" longed for a challenging course on Cleveland's west side, where they could "put on our comfortable togs and play a round of golf, or, when we like, put on our best clothes and have a real party". This group of founding fathers included John Zangerle, Mortimer J. Weber, John Crider, John Hinz, Robert Reid, and John Kerlin. The Westwood Country Club Company was incorporated February 1914. The original golf course property was completely redesigned by Charles Hugh Alison, one of the foremost golf course architects of the day and a partner of the prestigious international firm, McKenzie, Colt, & Alison. The course was finished in June 1926 and used for the first time in the State Tournament of that year. Many of golf’s greatest names have enjoyed playing Westwood over the years including legends Bobby Jones and Arnold Palmer, who holds the professional course record of 64. Westwood Country Club’s state-of-the-art clubhouse opened in 2009 and features modern amenities in a luxurious, colonial revival style building. The golf course showcases the natural beauty of the property with acres of expertly manicured fairways and greens, along with beautiful natural stone bridges and water features that complement the scenic and challenging design. Members enjoy all the Club’s amenities including the Olympic-size Swimming Pool, Kiddie Pool, Clay Tennis Courts, massive Lounge Patio, Banquet Facility, Gazebo Veranda, Dining options, and all the fantastic events for those of all ages. What began as a dream among a handful of golfers 100 years ago is today considered one of the finest country clubs in northeast Ohio.

Crystal Aquatics, Inc., founded in 1974 is located in Chantilly, VA in the Lafayette West Industrial Center. Our premier service is untouched by our competitors. We are a financially sound, mid-sized, controlled growth company. Our management service is predicated on "quality, not quantity." We are large enough to provide you with competitive pricing, yet small enough to deal with you on a "one to one" basis. We believe in providing friendly, personalized service and tailor this service to the needs of our customers. Crystal Aquatics has been a family owned and operated business for over 35 years. We specialize in servicing large community swimming pools in a small portion of Northern Virginia. This allows us to be only moments away from your needs. Swimming pools managed by Crystal Aquatics are subject to the highest standards in safety, cleanliness and customer service. We are unique in that all pools managed by Crystal Aquatics are visited on a daily basis by a supervisor of the Crystal Aquatics management staff. Each of these supervisors are assigned a small number of pools in a geographic area. This allows us a hands on approach and assures consistency from pool to pool. It is the responsibility of the supervisor to identify and deal with problems before they come to the attention of the pool's patrons. Without this constant supervision, the success and failure of our facility is left to chance. Safety is by far the most important factor to consider when choosing a management company. We work year round to stay on top of the latest safety techniques and technology. Safety training is a continuous process and for this reason, we have a separate division that is dedicated to aquatic training. In addition we have a separate division that is prepared to offer you the widest range of service and repair options. Crystal Aquatics, Inc. is a Commonwealth of Virginia licensed "class A contractor."
