The most successful approach to reach recovery for the alcoholic is through an individualized treatment plan, one-on-one therapy, group therapy and a strong family component. We are very effective in treating complex problems because each alcoholic has 18 hours per week of individual therapy.

As The Human Resource Coordinator I aid with and facilitate the human resource processes at all business locations. Within this role I administer employee health and welfare plans and act as liaison between employees and insurance providers. As the Human Resource Coordinator, I make certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. I provide administrative support to the Human Resources Director as needed. Some of these administrative duties/support includes record-keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry and other tasks given to me by the Department Director.

The National Adult Day Services Association has awarded the 2012 Ruth Von Behren Director of the Year Award to Lory. A pioneer in adult day programs, Lory led the nonprofit center from virtual bankruptcy in 1980 to ownership of its current $4.3 million state-of-the-art facility. As three-term President of the state adult day services association, Lory was instrumental in securing Medicaid reimbursement for Virginia adult day centers.
