Concept2 is the leading manufacturer of sport-based ergometers, including the world's top indoor rowing machines, the SkiErg and BikeErg. The company began in 1976 in the back of a bread truck when Dick and Pete Dreissigacker, fresh from Olympic training, started making composite racing oars. Concept2 oars and sculls have since gone on to become the equipment of choice among the world's rowers. In 1981, Dick and Pete created the Concept2 Indoor Rower, which swiftly became the best-selling rowing machine in the world. They introduced a Nordic ski training machine, the SkiErg, in 2009. The Concept2 BikeErg (released 2017) is the latest addition to our family of sport-based ergometers. Since those early days we've grown to over 60 employees in Morrisville, Vermont. We remain dedicated to our philosophy of providing the most innovative products and programs to our customers.
