I had the great opportunity to develop and provide a different type of banking experience that truly focused on people. The core values I created and developed drove decisions that were based on serving the people & community that lived within the demographics of our charter. I created a culture where we were known for helping all kinds of people, especially those who couldn't get help elsewhere. We were solution experts who were willing to look into what was going on in our member's lives and help them create wins right away.
Sometimes our members needed us to help them learn about credit. Other times they need someone to allow them to start over and teach them how to do things the right way. Other times members just needed to know what the next step was. My goal was to ELEVATE those who walked through our doors and help them reach the financial goals that they thought were unattainable. The brand and slogan I created by doing this was BANKING ELEVATED.
In the beginning, I was recruited to turn the outcome of this credit union around. While there my efforts and business development practices took this credit union from possible failure to more profitable than it had ever been. I grew the loan portfolio and volume to new levels and increased assets to new levels. In the end, I enjoyed the experience of choosing every day to improve lives which was the true secret to my success!
