The Nonprofit Management Center (NMC) exists to provide consulting, training, and information supporting the effectiveness of nonprofit organizations. In my role at the Center, I was responsible for planning, organizing and implementing education programs (Trainings, Generations and NELC) to improve the management and effectiveness of nonprofit organizations. Administrative duties encompassed all support duties facilitating the work of the organization. NMC was started as a program of the Permian Basin Area Foundation, becoming a 501(c)3 nonprofit in 2013.Generations is designed to develop new board members to transition into service on a local nonprofit board. Nonprofit Executive Leadership Certification (NELC) is designed to equip individuals seeking a role in nonprofit management with the skills needed to be successful. I scheduled speakers, manage travel, contracts, food, location arrangements, printed/email communications, event preparation, hospitality and billing for all education programs. In addition, I facilitated the application process for Generations and NELC and managed the Generations board placement process. Each October, I created, compiled, and analyzed a local salary and benefits survey.Administratively, I assisted staff in tasks related to NMC clients. This included maintaining files, assisting staff with Director searches, client surveys, dashboards, and transcribing planning notes. I also managed accounts receivable and payable in Quickbooks, billing in HarvestTime, wrote an annual grant request, maintained website and data updates, and assisted with IT as needed. In my role, I coordinated membership communication and annual dues. I oversaw the nomination process and completed administrative duties related to the annual fundraiser, Beacon Awards, designed to honor excellence in area nonprofit organizations by recognizing volunteers and staff of the local nonprofit sector.
