Our mission is to help people with disabilities understand and exercise their rights under the law, ensuring their full and equal participation in society. We serve children traumatized by neglect and abuse and their parents. Our team serves those involved in domestic violence situations, especially children. The Center for Child Protection, a nationally accredited children’s advocacy center, is the first stop for children in Travis County who are suspected victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse and for children who have witnessed a violent crime. The Center is a child-friendly, specially-equipped facility where children go for recorded forensic interviews, medical exams, counseling and intervention during the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases. It is the only nonprofit in Travis County involved in the investigation of crimes against children. All services are provided to children and their protective caregivers at no charge and most are available in English and Spanish. Children are referred to the Center for Child Protection for services exclusively through law enforcement and Child Protective Services when one or more of the following circumstances have occurred: - A child made an outcry of sexual abuse. - A child has experienced physical abuse. - A child has witnessed a violent crime.

Austin Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Austin Habitat focuses on the holistic experience of homeownership as a catalyst for community change. Austin Habitat goes beyond the well-known new homeownership program by also offering critical home repairs to low-income homeowners and housing counseling to the general Austin community. Our programs are designed to develop and preserve strong communities by providing comprehensive services that prepare homebuyers for the responsibilities of homeownership, incentivize long-term ownership, and keep existing homeowners in their homes.

RMYA cares for children in the foster care system who are healing from severe abuse, neglect, violence and trauma, through no fault of their own. Here they have a safe place to live, food, clothing, therapeutic care and love. RMYA provides residential care for children and youth from birth to age 24 through a continuum of care in emergency shelters, a community family counseling center, a drop in center for sex trafficked and homeless youth, a long term residential campus and a transitional living program for youth who have aged out of foster care with nowhere to live, and for youth who are homeless. Meals on Wheels San Antonio prepares and delivers nutritious meals each weekday to homebound seniors living in Bexar, Frio, Atascosa, Comal, Edwards, Guadalupe, Karnes, McMullen, Medina, Uvalde, and Wilson Counties. During the last fiscal year, Meals on Wheels San Antonio provided 1,000,000+ meals to 5,320 seniors. Adults who are homebound, unable to cook for themselves, and lack outside support are eligible for services at no charge. Meals on Wheels San Antonio has served the senior citizens of Bexar County since 1977. Today, our agency is one of Bexar County’s largest non-profit organizations providing services to seniors. Services include home meal delivery, companionship for homebound seniors, and daytime care for seniors diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia-related diseases. Founded in 1994 as a community amenity for the residents of Circle C Ranch, The Child Development Center has grown to provide nationally recognized preschool programs to residents of the immediate community and families throughout Southwest Austin. Our main campus on La Crosse Avenue serves children as young as 2 months through age 5. With one of the lowest teacher turnover rates in the preschool industry, the CDC’s early childhood programs consistently provide families and children with an unparalleled level of individualized education. Through the years, The Child Development Center has developed partnerships with AISD including unique inclusion classrooms, after school programs and summer camps for school-age children. The Circle C Child Development Center is a private, not-for-profit company with a volunteer board of directors. It is independent of the Circle C Ranch Homeowners Association. The preschool and its programs are funded by tuition, fees and fundraising. Because of its unique history as part of the Circle C Ranch neighborhood, The Child Development Center is the only preschool of its kind.

The Arc of San Antonio (TAoSA) was founded in 1954 by parents who wanted to create a network of support and services for their children with special needs. Throughout our history, The Arc has responded to the changing needs in our community by developing programs and partnerships that address the most critical issues facing people living with disabilities. Today, The Arc offers one of the largest continuum of services for children and adults with a broad range of intellectual and developmental abilities. The Arc has two locations in San Antonio: 13430 West Avenue, 78216 and 6530 Wurzbach Road, 78240. We serve over 200 adults each day. We play a distinctive role among social service providers in San Antonio. Each year our case manager and support services connect over 1,800 children, adults and families to a wide range of resources for people with disabilities. The Arc serves as a gateway to community services for many individuals and families seeking assistance for the first time. We provide a continuing source of information, referral and support during times of transition or crisis.
