Skyline Vision Clinic & Laser Center’s roots date back to 1985 when Britt Buckley, MD, had the vision to bring advanced eye care to southern Colorado. What began as a single location ophthalmology practice has now grown into an eye care powerhouse in this region. In fact, we have helped over 250,000 people improve and preserve their vision over the years – and each patient received individualized care. With locations reaching from Colorado Springs to Trinidad, our incredible team of ophthalmologists and optometrists can treat just about any type of vision problem or help manage diseases with no cure. Our goal is always to protect your precious vision. Although Dr. Buckley retired from his profession in December 2019, the practice continues to thrive under the excellent leadership of Matthew Chang, MD; James Burden, MD; and Edward Stevenson, DO. Every board-certified doctor and every team member from the front desk staff to our technicians have a unified commitment to continue Dr. Buckley’s legacy and provide top notch, personalized eye care with compassion, respect and honesty. We stay on the forefront of new technology for procedures such as blade-free LASIK vision correction as well as diagnosis and treatment for dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic eye care, corneal diseases/conditions, cataracts, eyelid surgery and more. If you are searching for an eye care team that can adapt to your changing eye care needs (due to aging, trauma, eye disease, etc.), we would be honored to start along this journey with you. To schedule an eye exam and meet our team, contact us today at (719) 630-3937.

The mission of the Star Center is to help any person with any disability to realize their potential. Our mission has been in spirit since the founding, but was re-worded in October 2013. We have been inclusive from the beginning and were founded to use technology and techniques to transform lives. Our mission is intended to be spoken aloud in the form of “any person – with any disability – to realize their potential!” The STAR Center’s vision is to realize our own potential so that we may best serve others. Our vision is one of constant improvement, always keeping in mind that we exist to help others. We are driven to find ways to better our services, our technology, and our people and expand to where there is a need. Our vision is intended for our leadership and staff, but also holds us to high standards to the public that we serve. Core Values Dignity – The belief that all people are worthy of value and ethical, excellent treatment. Individualized Solutions – The belief that people should be treated as individuals, by name, with what helps them most. Compassion – Offering our services regardless of the ability to pay. Technology – A passion for technology and its ability to improve and change lives. Our motto is Enrichment, Education, and Employment. Enrichment is a quality that unites diverse services such as Home Care and Art Therapy and encompasses all that we do. Education is the belief that children deserve the chance to succeed in academics regardless of their barriers. Employment is about adults sharing their gifts and talents with the community by serving others, rather than being held back by disabilities.
