Tri County Community Action, part of America’s Poverty Fighting Network, has been helping people and changing lives throughout Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry Counties since 1966. As private, nonprofit, community development agency, we create and connect resources for individuals, families, and communities to move from poverty and crisis to self-sufficiency.

Together, we create life-changing wish experiences for children with critical illnesses. According to information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, over 500 children in Massachusetts and Rhode Island are newly diagnosed with critical illnesses each year. Our vision is to grant the wish of every medically eligible child.

Health Care For All (HCFA) is one of the nation's leading state-based, non-profit consumer health care advocacy organizations. HCFA advocates for health justice in Massachusetts by working to promote health equity and ensure coverage and access for all. HCFA envisions a day when everyone in Massachusetts has the equitable, affordable, and comprehensive care they need to be healthy. HCFA's direct service program, the Consumer Assistance HelpLine, assists individuals and families statewide, and informs HCFA’s coalition and policy work to develop solutions that address health care access barriers at the systemic level. The HelpLine takes an average of 20,000 calls per year from residents of the Commonwealth seeking to enroll in or troubleshoot issues with health coverage. HCFA HelpLine counselors are experts in all facets of public and private health insurance and they provide services in Portuguese, Spanish, and English.

We provide grants to our Global South partners and join them in advocating for social change. Our primary focus is on land, water and food as human rights and nourishing the political struggle necessary to achieve these rights. Four Growers was founded to provide healthy, affordable, local produce by reducing the production costs of greenhouse growers through robotics technology. We are positioning ourselves to be the automated solutions provider for greenhouse crop management. ​We are working closely with various greenhouse growers to develop a tomato harvesting robot. Our technology relies on two layers of protection, patents filed protecting the physical design of the robot and a proprietary algorithm that controls the robot’s decision making. Our solution is not only capable of harvesting the tomatoes, but also of performing a quality check and of packaging.

Adolescent Consultation Services (ACS) supports and empowers court-involved children and families by providing mental health prevention and intervention services to help them envision and work toward a better future.

Camp Harbor View partners with more than 1,000 Boston teens and their families on year-round programs that inspire creativity, build community, and champion young leaders.

Just A Start believes that access to stable housing and sustainable careers are the essential building blocks of equitable communities. For more than 50 years, we have focused on meeting the fundamental needs of individuals and families who have been systemically denied opportunities to realize their full potential. Our programs include affordable housing, education and job training, and comprehensive support services, spanning Cambridge and beyond.

One of Boston’s original historic settlement houses and the oldest continually operating human service agency in the community, the South Boston Neighborhood House (SBNH) was founded in 1901 with a mission ‘to support family and neighborhood life in South Boston.’ Affectionately known as “The Ollie” after founder, Olivia James, SBNH is best known for the deep ties and connections among participants and families that have endured for generations and the historic welcome and investment in South Boston’s immigrant populations and other new residents that continues to this day. Today, SBNH impacts the lives of 2000 individuals each year from infants to nonagenarians. Our focus is families and our five program and service areas, Early Education & Care, School Age Programs, Youth Education & Career Development, Senior Programs and Family Engagement, are designed to work together to strengthen the fabric of family and community life through education and opportunity.

Team IMPACT is a 501(c)3 national nonprofit that connects children facing serious or chronic illnesses with college athletic teams, forming lifelong bonds and life-changing outcomes. Team IMPACT is a 2021 FOS “Best Employers in Sports” winner, a certified “Great Place to Work”, and is currently ranked 100/100 in all of Charity Navigators currently available “Star rating”. The only U.S. nonprofit that helps children with serious or chronic illness overcome acute social and emotional isolation by matching them with a college athletic team for inclusion and purpose. Our two-year clinically-based plan for each child completes the full circle of healing, and results in relationships and skills that last a lifetime.
