the lead anti-poverty 501(c)3 community action organization in Bucks County. Our mission is to reduce poverty and partner with our community to promote economic self-sufficiency. The Bucks County Opportunity Council is 501(c)3 charity located in Bucks County who carries out its mission to reduce poverty through five programs: economic self-sufficiency, food, emergency services, weatherization and tax preparation. The economic self-sufficiency program works with motivated families through coaching and education to earn a livable wage and become free of all government assistance. As the lead food agency in the county, our food program supplies donated food, both government and private, to over 80 food pantries and distribution sites. The emergency services program helps individuals and families in crisis providing short-term assistance in the form of rental assistance or overdue energy bills. The weatherization program provides heater repair and replacement for low-income families as well as services to make home more energy efficient. The tax preparation program is run entirely by volunteers who prepare over 1000 tax returns annually saving low-income families on expensive preparation fees and maximizing tax returns. Our Wheelz to Work program takes donated used cars, evaluates them, repairs them if needed and then provides them to our economic self-sufficiency clients to help them over the barrier of transportation in Bucks County.

At Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley, we care for and support some of the most important people in our community. We provide home-bound senior citizens and adults with disabilities with home-delivered meals, grocery shopping and other services. Most importantly, we provide them with the kindness and respect that they deserve.

The Interfaith Food Pantry Network is a community of neighbors helping neighbors, committed to ending hunger and promoting self-sufficiency. Through our community partners we provide food, education and resources to inspire confidence and hope to Morris County families in need. In 2018 we distributed 1.2 million pounds of food, feeding more 10,000 Morris County residents.

FSA NEPA’s major program areas are Professional Counseling for individuals, couples and families; Help Line/211, a 24 hour a day, seven day a week information, referral crisis intervention service; the High-Risk Youth Offender Reentry & Family Strengthening Initiative, that works to support youth, adjudicated delinquent, and their families become successful in their school and community; the Guardianship Program which provides ethical substitute decision making for incapacitated adults; the Intensive Family Reunification project which works intensively with parents to help them master the skills they need to have their children returned from foster care; Community Education & Outreach which provides in-home and in-community prevention through skills building for children and families; Parent Child Home Program provides modeling for 'parent as first teacher' for families of 2 and 3 years old to promote school readiness.
