Feed the Children exists to defeat childhood hunger. Our organization was founded in 1979, and we are proud to be a leading US-based anti-hunger nonprofit. We serve those in need in the United States and eight countries around the world, providing food, education, essentials and clean water/hygiene initiatives. We operate five distribution centers located in Oklahoma, Indiana, Arizona, Tennessee and Pennsylvania. In our 2023 fiscal year, we distributed over 86.4 million pounds of food and essentials to children and families in the U.S. Internationally, we worked out of 192 strategic locations in Africa, Asia and Central America, providing food and other benefits to over 4.7 million people. We care about the entire community, and we are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other. Our Programs: Community Action Agency of Oklahoma City and Oklahoma/Canadian Counties, Inc., established in 1965, serves the communities with programs designed to “promote the self-sufficiency of the socially, economically, and culturally disadvantaged citizens of our service area.” CAA partners with private businesses and other Agencies to provide comprehensive programs that address substance abuse, home repair, child-care, economic development, and home ownership to name a few. Currently CAA addresses the needs of the community by administering the following programs: Since its inception in 1964, CAA has remained devoted to its mission of promoting self-help for low-income people and neighborhoods. CAA empowers disadvantaged people by providing them with the tools to overcome poverty, live with dignity, and achieve their full potential. It emphasizes education, skilled job-training and asset development. While CAA's overall focus remains long term self-sufficiency, we understand that sometimes, things happen. CAA offers a number of programs that help families through these times of crisis, including utility assistance in winter, and rental assistance. Once stability has been established CAA helps people move forward with a focus on education and skill development. The agency works closely with area businesses and academic institutions to develop programs that educate workers who are consistently applauded for their abilities and commitment to excellence. .

Established in 1907, Sunbeam is one of Oklahoma’s longest-serving nonprofits. Sunbeam helps over 4,000 Central Oklahoma children and families learn, grow, and thrive each year through early childcare and education, with specialized wraparound support for entire family systems, including mental health services, and programming for foster families and grandparents raising their grandchildren. Through its nationally-recognized early childhood program, Sunbeam prepares babies and toddlers to enter kindergarten through full-day, year-round early care and education. Its traditional (legacy) foster care program provides temporary care and supportive services in a home environment for children. Finally, to provide robust wraparound care, sliding-scale mental health services are available to Sunbeam’s clients and the community. Through the mental health program, Sunbeam provides individual, family, group, and play therapy along with support groups and psycho-educational classes.

HOPE Community Services, Inc. has maintained operation since June of 1980 in south Oklahoma City. We are a non-profit outpatient community mental health center that provides a large array of mental health and addiction services. HOPE is dedicated to support and promote a service environment for individuals and families in need of mental health, co-occurring, and integrated healthcare services. Additionally, HOPE operates numerous housing grant opportunities for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, as we work alongside our community partners to serve the most vulnerable. We are certified through the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS), and we are nationally accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). We work closely with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, HUD, The City of Oklahoma City, and the Norman Housing Authority to provide services to our consumers and their families. At the heart of all that is done at HOPE, we strive to serve our consumers, our community, and our co-workers to be an agency focused on growth and recovery to empower individuals to live with strength and passion.

All Roads Lead to home at Crossroads Youth & Family Services, Inc. Because of this, we support the healthy lifestyles and emotional well-being of children, youth and families by providing effective, community-based programs and services. We develop and implement prevention, intervention, outpatient treatment for children and their adult family members through education, assessments, educational classes, referrals to effective community programs, youth empowerment, early childhood education and development, and youth crisis shelter programs for children and their families in Cleveland County, Oklahoma.

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is leading the fight against hunger in 53 counties in central and western Oklahoma and envisions a state where no one goes hungry.

In 2005, the LCDA underwent an intensive organizational challenge to earn a national accreditation which focused on establishing standards of quality to use in its overall business and program policies and procedures to ensure that needs of the persons served are met and best possible outcomes are achieved. LCDA successfully earned and continues to maintain for the fourth consecutive year the highest level of accreditation given by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities (CARF). Consistent community trust established throughout the years has helped the LCDA to evolve into a Latino services clearinghouse where 50 staffed positions provide successful outreach to Latino families. Area university students and hundreds of volunteers are involved in over 22 programs and numerous events throughout the year serve a variety of needs in the community. Established in 1972, Pivot, A Turning Point for Youth, works with young people lacking stability in their lives. These young people are often homeless or couch homeless, alone or disengaged. Almost all are ages 12 to 24 and have overwhelming barriers in their lives without the resources to overcome them and successfully transition into self-reliant adults. Pivot is committed to long-term impact in the lives of the youth we serve. We provide programs and services that focus on meeting housing and basic needs; education and job assistance; mentoring and life skills development; prevention and intervention services; and therapeutic care including mental health and substance abuse care.
