Mission Statement Journey's End Refugee Services, Inc. is a Christian community-based organization with the mission of welcoming refugees without regard to ethnic origin or creed and to assist them to become healthy, independent, contributing members of the community. Purpose Statement To provide refugees with the resources and support they need to become successful, active and contributing members of the Western New York Community.

Girl Scouts of Western New York, the preeminent girl leadership organization, currently serves 15,000 girls and 7,000 adult volunteers. Adult volunteers conduct a variety of age-appropriate programs and opportunities for girls at the troop and service unit level. Girls also participate in council-wide projects. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

Buffalo Zoo Facts Founded in 1875, the Buffalo Zoo is the third oldest zoo in the United States. Each year, the Zoo welcomes approximately 400,000 visitors and is the second largest tourist attraction in Western New York, second only to Niagara Falls. At Huther Doyle, we provide individuals and families with culturally appropriate, high-quality Substance Use Disorder Outpatient services to help them make positive changes in their lives. Our Substance Use Disorder treatment methods are research-based and client-centered to optimize the recovery process for each person. Additionally, we assist our clients with resolving personal issues that might interfere with their recovery journey and offer an array of services to make focusing on treatment and recovery easier. The Huther Doyle agency offers a specialized program for Latina and Latino clients who are not fluent in the English language. Our culturally appropriate program is conducted in Spanish, and has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the Hispanic community. The Huther Doyle approach focuses on cultural issues that might impede, and cultural nuances that can enhance, addiction recovery.

The mission of the Buffalo Urban League is . . . To empower African Americans, other minorities and disadvantaged individuals to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights. This Mission is driven by the National Urban League’s Mission and empowers those who are striving toward the mainstream to achieve economic self-reliance and to enjoy their rights as citizens under the law. Both the Buffalo and National Urban League’s Mission support the following fiveobjectives: Education and Youth Empowerment ensures the education of all children by providing access to early childhood literacy, after-care programs and college scholarships. Economic Empowerment invests in the financial literacy and employability of adults through job training, homeownership and entrepreneurship. OVER 125 YEARS OF SERVING THE COMMUNITY BFNC, a 501c3 organization has served Buffalo and Erie County since 1893 through its programs for youth, adults and seniors. BFNC delivers comprehensive, coordinated, family-focused human services to low-income and disadvantaged neighborhoods throughout Buffalo, Niagara Falls, and Lockport. OUR COMMITMENT BFNC’s doors are open to all people and communities – helping them navigate a path from where they are to where they want to be. The organization plays a major role as a human services safety net, ensuring that any Western New Yorker who needs help and/or who has trouble accessing services, or has slipped through the cracks of the human service system, has a trusted place to go.
