Pine Rest offers a full continuum of behavioral health services and is the third largest non-profit behavioral health system in the United States. Our comprehensive behavioral health center located in Grand Rapids, Michigan offers psychiatric urgent care, outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization (day programs), assessment and testing, residential, addiction treatment and specialty services such as crisis response, employee assistance programs, forensic psychiatry and psychology, neuromodulation and more. The outpatient network includes 19 offices including teletherapy in Michigan and Iowa, providing individualized and group therapy for people of all ages and all levels of need. Our educational programming includes psychiatry residency and fellowships in child & adolescent, addiction and geriatric psychiatry, PA training, psychology internships, rotations for medical learners and a clinical pastoral education program. REAL Services has three "divisions"​: Area Agency on Aging, Community Action Agency, and Alzheimer’s Services. These three divisions serve vulnerable older adults and low-income persons of all ages. The emphasis of the Area Agency on Aging is to assist older people to maintain independence as much as possible. The emphasis of the Community Action Agency is to assist low-income families to achieve self-sufficiency. Alzheimer’s Services of Northern Indiana provides support to those suffering from dementia. REAL Services is the Area Agency on Aging for the Older Americans Act which builds a network of services for older adults and the physically disabled. Community Services programs, which support single parents and low-income families, are designed to break the cycle of dependence on public assistance. REAL Services, believing in the dignity of all people, will provide services without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, disability, national origin, ancestry, or status as a veteran.
