Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve2020 - 2022Evansville, INBeing Executive Director of a nonprofit organization during the COVID Pandemic certainly had its challenged, but I was able to spearhead the restructuring of this struggling organization with strategic planning, conflict management, recruiting, expanding operations, and financial planning. I reduced conflict and chaos between staff, board members, and community leaders and created a team of competent and dedicated staff in an engaging, dynamic work environment. The organization was stabilized financially through fundraising, establishing community connections, and hosting successful events. I rebuilt connections and alliances within the community through coordinated efforts with board members, local leaders, government officials, business community, and staff. I established outreach programs and events that fostered diversity and inclusion while targeting underserved populations within Tri-State area.Some notable accomplishments included:• A 103% increase in revenue was achieved while rectifying inefficiencies, revamping and fulfilling previous commitments and debt, and identifying and applying for various grants.• I drove a $250K expansion on a bird sanctuary within the nation's largest Nature Playscape through strategic planning and restructuring initiatives.• I secured the acquisition of a par 3 golf course for reforestation.• Proper oversight of existing grants and reestablished partnerships was orchestrated to continue to raise much needed funds for the organization.• I achieved record growth and expansion despite restrictions, challenges, and adversity imposed by COVID Pandemic.• Funds in excess of $450K+ were strategically raised within two years throughout the COVID Pandemic, when traditional fundraising efforts were challenged due to in-person restrictions.
