Founded in 1977 by Mr. John Dawkins, Bulldog Battery Corporation moved from Chicago, Illinois to Wabash, Indiana in 1985. Mr. Norman Benjamin, whose background was in engineering and battery consulting, was appointed CEO and oversaw day-to-day manufacturing operations. After several years with the company as a Regional Sales Manager, and then Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mr. Richard Glassburn was appointed as Chief Executive Officer/President in August of 2018. Bulldog Battery has become a leader in motive battery industry. We manufacture and distribute industrial batteries used in forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, locomotive diesel starting, explosion-proof batteries, and more. Our employee-owners take pride in crafting the highest quality reputation in the industry. Each battery that leaves our 200,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facilities undergo extensive testing, including full discharge and equalization. We pride ourselves on maintaining the fastest lead times within the industry. While the world struggles with supply-chain shortages and delays, Bulldog Battery has integrated each step of the manufacturing process in-house. Competitor lead times are backlogged more than 12 weeks, whereas we typically ship within two and strive for a one-week ship date. We lead the way when it comes to industrial batteries.
