The Office of the Special Deputy Receiver (“OSD”) employees the professional staff that service, operate and manage insurance receivership estates for the Illinois Director of Insurance, and his Special Deputy Receiver, in his capacity as statutory receiver. Subject to court supervision, the receiver marshals assets for distribution to consumers and other creditors pursuant to statutory claim procedures.
