The Georgia Advocacy Office, Inc. (GAO) is a private non-profit corporation, who's mission is to work with, and for oppressed and vulnerable individuals in Georgia who are labeled as disabled or mentally ill to secure their protection and advocacy. GAO is federally funded, and has been designated by Georgia as the Congressionally-mandated agency to implement Protection and Advocacy of individuals with disabilities throughout the state GAO has seven different programs, each rooted in a different piece of federal legislation. Every program uses a combination of self-advocacy supports, citizen involvement, staff advocacy, and legal advocacy to protect and advocate for the rights of Georgians with disabilities. We also focus on community building and partnering with self-advocates and community associates to widen the support network available in Georgia for people with disabilities and those who care about them. GAO supports Citizen Advocacy, an additional strategy to protect and advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities in Georgia. Citizen advocacy happens when a valued citizen, unpaid and independent of human services, creates an intentional relationship with a person who is at increased risk of abuse, neglect and social exclusion. The citizen advocate learns to understand, respond to, and represent the partner’s interests as if they were the advocate’s own. This allows the gifts and concerns of the person with the disability to be brought forth into the circles of ordinary community life. We believe relationships with people who are loyal and free from conflict of interest are what make all people safer. It also helps create a space for our communities to be enriched by all of its members.

Honeymoon Israel is a nonprofit organization serving young couples with diverse cultural, racial, religious, gender, and sexual identities who are looking to create connections with each other and to Jewish life. We use a highly subsidized group trip to Israel as an entry point to create local community at home. We empower couples on their journey connecting them to other local couples who are in a similar stage in life and share their experiences.

Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc. (ARMHC) is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization. The mission of Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities is to nurture the health and well-being of children and families. At our Ronald McDonald Houses, no family is turned away if they cannot afford the $20 per night contribution and many families stay at the Ronald McDonald House for weeks, and sometimes months, while their children receive medical care.

Jerusalem House provides over 70%, of the permanent supportive housing designated for Atlanta’s homeless and low-income population with HIV/AIDS. We achieve this through five programs. On any given day, we serve nearly 500 people, including over 100 children. We are Atlanta's oldest and largest provider in this field of housing. Although we receive support from many groups in the faith community, Jerusalem House is a non-denominational organization.

For 30 years Senior Services North Fulton has been at the forefront of efforts to eliminate senior hunger and provide additional care and support to the region's growing population of older adults. In addition to our Meals on Wheels program, we provide transportation to medical appointments and "quality of life trips" for home bound seniors, and we operate 7 senior centers that enrich the lives of hundreds of local seniors each week. Our agency is a resource for all senior-related care and support needs in the community.

OUR HEART IS FOR VULNERABLE CHILDREN When there are 140 million considered orphans worldwide, with over 400,000 of these children living in the United States, we know there’s work to be done. We partner with churches across the nation to provide what vulnerable children need most––strong families. We know many people are unaware of the child welfare crisis. We also know when people become aware, they many times would like to get involved...but aren’t sure where to start. That’s where we come in.  Promise686 equips churches to: • Raise awareness around the needs of vulnerable children • Help prevent children from going into foster care by supporting biological families in crisis • Recruit and equip foster & adoptive families • Create support systems for those caring for at-risk kids We call this model Family Advocacy Ministries (FAMs). Our vision is to fulfill God's promise "to set the lonely in families." FAMs create support systems for foster & adoptive families, and biological families in crisis. By equipping churches to create and lead successful FAMs, we’re working toward seeing every child in a safe and loving family, forever.

NFCC works to help ease hardship and foster financial stability in our community. Founded in 1983, we serve residents in North Fulton in the cities of Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park and Roswell. We assist families with basic essentials such as food, rent and utilities, and clothing for short- term emergencies. Adult education classes ranging from GED Prep and English to Financial Literacy and OSHA Certification are offered at no cost to help clients create a path forward.
