SUPER VACUUM MANUFACTURING CO. INC.
SUPER VACUUM MANUFACTURING CO. INC.
Fort Collins, Colorado
51-200 employees
Super Vacuum Manufacturing Company is commonly known as Super Vac. The original product manufactured by the firm was a smoke ejector, or fan, used to create a vacuum for pulling smoke from a fire, thereby increasing visibility for firemen. Incorporated in Colorado in 1954, Super Vac has passed successfully through four generations of family ownership, and remains a privately held family business, managed & owned by Roger Weinmeister, Ron Weinmeister, Tamara Sorensen, and Bob Sorensen. Bob and Roger are both experienced firefighters serving with the Windsor Fire Department. Super Vac has four distinct departments: Super Vac Ventilators, SVI Rescue Trucks, Command Light, and our foundry. The smoke ejector is just one of the many types of emergency fire equipment manufactured. The SVI Truck division builds Rescue and Hazardous Material (Haz-Mat) trucks to meet the specifications and needs of fire departments. Starting with a cab and chassis, the body of the vehicle is constructed on site, including all welding, shearing, forming, painting, wiring and installation of specialized equipment. Super Vac also refurbishes used fire apparatus. The Command Light is a lighting tower that can be mounted on either new or used emergency vehicles & is capable of illuminating an area the size of a football field. The towers can be elevated 10 feet from the top of the vehicle and can rotate 360 degrees. They can also be tilted to light hard-to-illuminate areas. When stored, they lie flat atop the vehicle. Super Vac has attained prominence in the national and international rescue truck and emergency ventilation marketplace because of its quality products and customer orientation. The management of Super Vac recognizes that our greatest asset is our employees. We endeavor to provide good jobs and good benefits to good people. We want our employees to be proud to work for a company that provides excellent products to the fire service.
