• Processes and administers bi-weekly payroll in ADP software for 26+ employees
• Calculates time cards and discerns utilizing sick, vacation, bereavement pay based on company policies, CA Wage & HR law, and payroll rules
• Updates sick/vacation accruals, salary adjustments in Excel
• Analyzes and enters manual journal entries for payroll, bank reconciliations, and account payable in Great Plains
• Assesses and coordinates HR tasks with the HR/Accounting Manager
• Researches updated CA and Federal HR laws, Cal/OSHA for the employee size such as Paid Family Leave, Sick Pay Leave, Cal OSHA, FLSA
• Assists with benefits, workers compliance and 401k distribution, open enrollment, adding employees to their new hire benefits via Unum, Blue Shield
• Assists with Quarter-End tasks such as Sales Tax Return, inventory, depreciation, freight kicker etc
• Supports Accounting Manager with benefits administration during Open Enrollment
•Creates and updates Employee Handbook
