• Introduced consistent and cost effective human resources services and culture to a compilation of acquired companies for this environmental transportation and disposal provider. Due to multiple acquisitions, operational consistency was required to control labor/benefit costs and non-union status.
• Provided strategic and day-to-day human resources for U.S. operations only, including all U.S. Corporate recruitment.
• Reduced driver turnover from approximately 75% to 35% with implementation of a defined selection and on-boarding process, which reduced costs approximately $3M in the first year.
• Designed a comprehensive benefit program comparable to competition, and maintained premium increases of <5% for 3-consecutive plan years, in addition to eliminating a $1M claims deficit.
• Designed and conducted a management development-training program for front-line supervisors and managers to address the root causes of many employee related issues/concerns. The program reduced dispute resolution costs by approximately 50% or approximately $50,000 in the first year.
