From the Beginning In 1991, Dr. Mark Holt and Dr. Darla Kincaid began to visualize the goals and dreams that would come to define a pediatric practice like no other in North Texas. That year, they opened MD Pediatric Associates, with a vision for a pediatric practice driven by quality care, quality service, and quality information for children and parents. Building on both pediatricians’ successful early careers in Lewisville, where Dr. Holt had been practicing since 1979 and Dr. Kincaid since 1985, MD Pediatrics’ original office was opened in a clinic at the Medical Center of Lewisville, a space that would later become the emergency room. As our patient base has continued to grow, we’ve upgraded to new facilities that allow us to provide the highest standard of care. In 2003, we switched from paper charts to electronic medical records, allowing patients to transition seamlessly between physicians and offices when needed. Today, you’ll find us in Coppell (since 2010) and in Flower Mound (since 2014).

Midland Children’s Rehabilitation Center (MCRC) is a 501 (c)(3) organization providing occupational, physical and speech therapy as well as tutoring for children with dyslexia. The center was started in 1956 and was originally called the Midland Cerebral Palsy Center. We are a pediatric only facility serving infants through 22 years of age. The mission of MCRC is to change the lives of children by providing neurological, orthopedic and developmental therapy, in a compassionate environment, regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Our vision is to provide these services at little or no cost to the families. To date the Center has never charged for services and relies on the generosity of the community to be able to do so. Funding for MCRC comes from fundraising events, foundations, corporations, businesses and individual donors.

Thriving United is a Recovery Community Organization (RCO). We help people find recovery, stay in recovery, and live recovery. Recovery is defined by SAMHSA as “A process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential.” We have a community resource center downtown by the courthouse that is a safe haven for people in recovery to have space to hang out at the RECOVERY CAFE, we have meetings, a computer lab, meditation room, and GIVE IT FORWARD CLOSET. Thriving united offers peer support and volunteer opportunities. We have a peer supportive recovery house known as "Angel Haven" which offers affordable housing with a level of accountability. We base our residence off the NARR standards and model our housing after the Oxford houses. Thriving United also has just purchased a 22 acre plot of land and is planning on developing it into 32 homes for those in recovery and house 60 adults and children. Thriving United's values are connection, community, people, recovery, and love.
