Firetree, Ltd. was formed in 1991 as a non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation designed to provide quality transitional services to individuals associated with the criminal justice system. Statistically, chemical abuse is an indirect or direct cause of criminal behavior in approximately 90 % of the prison population; however, a minimal number of offenders were receiving substance abuse treatment. Firetree, Ltd. developed the belief and the mission, that drug and alcohol treatment is essential to effect change in the criminal offender. It wasn’t long before serving those who are chemically dependent but not yet involved in the criminal justice system was recognized as yet another area of need.

Families United Network, Inc. is a state licensed 501(c)3 non-profit social service agency. The agency was founded in 1996, and initially provided Foster Care services to children and families throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Today, Families United Network is a well-respected leader in child welfare that continues to provide quality foster care and adoption services, domestic and international adoption, and in addition, operates community residential and independent living facilities for adolescent boys and girls. With locations throughout Pennsylvania, Families United Network serves over 500 children on an annual basis.

The Arc is a non-profit organization supporting the needs of persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in Centre County since 1953. Our Mission: The Arc of Centre County embodies and protects the human rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and practices person-centered planning which actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes. The Arc offers an array of community services, focusing its efforts on ensuring the rights of persons with developmental disabilities, supporting their families, and helping each person reach his or her personal best. The Arc is composed of people from all walks of life- from programs targeting youth with disabilities to supports for aging adults with disabilities, The Arc’s programs make an impact across the lifespan. Through changes and growth and from progressive Residential Habilitation Services with medical supports to our cutting edge Discovery and Customized Employment services, The Arc has never altered its ultimate goal which is to provide support to persons with a disability and their families. The Arc is a member agency of the Centre County United Way; The Arc is also funded in part under an Agreement with Centre County through Centre County Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities/Early Intervention-Drug and Alcohol Program Office and other various sources.

North Central Sight Services, Inc. is a not-for-profit agency based in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Our agency reaches over 1,000 individuals a year in six counties: Bradford, Centre, Clinton, Lycoming, Sullivan, and Tioga. We provide valuable services such as preventative vision screenings, financial assistance programs for prescriptions and eyeglasses, vision loss rehabilitation, sighted-guide, transportation, support groups, and employment opportunities. Our agency has an entrepreneurial spirit and believes in the capabilities of individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Through an industry-based employment program, North Central Sight Services, Inc. manufacturers and assembles SKILCRAFT® products for the AbilityOne® Program and UniqueSource®, formerly known as the Pennsylvania Industries for the Blind and Handicapped. We are known for our 98% on-time delivery rate and customer service. Our performance and distribution proficiency have resulted in awards from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), National Industries for the Blind (NIB), and the Department of Agriculture (USDA). Approximately 94% of our operations and community outreach is funded through the sales of products and business services. In addition to state and federal procurement programs, North Central Sight Services, Inc. offers Document Management Solution (Storage and Shredding), Vending Services, Custom Labels, and Sip for Sight® Bottleless Water Coolers. While our efforts are focused in Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder and Union Counties, we also reach into Bradford, Clinton, Columbia, Potter, Sullivan and Tioga Counties through donors and their geographic area funds and scholarships.
