Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington, Mount Vernon is affirming its status as the preeminent center of learning about George Washington, his life, character of leadership, and legacy. In addition to safeguarding original books and manuscripts, the Library serves as a center for leadership, where scholars, influencers, and other luminaries come together to talk about the past as well as the future, inspired by Washington’s extraordinary life, achievements, and character. The mission of the National Student Clearinghouse is to serve the education and workforce communities and all learners with access to trusted data, related services, and insights. We help educational institutions improve efficiency, reduce costs and workload, and enhance the quality of services they provide to their students and alumni, lending institutions, employers, and other organizations. Our verification, electronic exchange, and reporting services save higher education institutions cumulatively over $750 million annually. Most Clearinghouse services are provided to colleges and universities at little or no charge, including enhanced transcript and research services, enabling institutions to redistribute limited staff and budget resources to more important student service efforts. The Clearinghouse also provides thousands of high schools and districts with continuing collegiate enrollment, progression, and completion statistics on their alumni. Through our Research Center, the Clearinghouse provides accurate information and research studies to education leaders on how student pathways are evolving so they can better understand and address their students’ needs and help them achieve successful outcomes. Clearinghouse services are designed to facilitate an institution’s compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, The Higher Education Act, and other applicable laws. The Clearinghouse has signed the Student Privacy Pledge and is the first recipient of ikeepsafe.org’s FERPA compliance badge, which was awarded to its StudentTracker for High Schools service.

HumRRO was established in 1951 as the Human Resources Research Office of The George Washington University to carry out an integrated program of human resources research for the Department of the Army. In 1967, HumRRO's charter was modified to extend its research and development activities to other departments of the Federal Government, to state and local governments, and to private organizations. In 1969, HumRRO separated from the university and incorporated as a non-profit research organization. HumRRO is an industry leader in the areas of human resource modeling, utilization, development, and skills assessment and enhancement; workforce and job analysis; personnel recruitment, selection, and occupational assignment; survey design and analysis; performance measurement; analysis of training and instructional technology; and personnel policy analysis. Our focus is on gathering information relevant to human performance, applying state-of-the-art research methodologies and analytic techniques, and providing agencies and departments with reliable, valid, and applied research results for use by decision makers. HumRRO’s project experience includes not only research and assessment projects that have spanned a number of years, but also efforts that respond to our clients’ quick turnaround needs.
