The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a top-ranked nonprofit hunger-relief organization operating a state-of-the-art volunteer and distribution center in Plano— the Perot Family Campus. Last year, the Food Bank worked hard in partnership with member agencies from our Feeding Network to provide access to almost 77 million nutritious meals across a diverse 13-county service area— this means more than 200,000 meals per day for hungry children, seniors and families. But the need for hunger relief in North Texas is complex and in order to meet the need the NTFB is working to increase our food distribution efforts. Partnership With Native Americans is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to championing hope for a brighter future for Native Americans living on remote, isolated and impoverished reservations. Collaborating for more than 25 years with our reservation partners, we provide consistent aid and services for Native Americans with the highest need in the U.S. The majority of PWNA's support is designed to help meet the basic human needs of those most vulnerable: Native American Elders and youth. PWNA works with hundreds of reservation program partners in hundreds of tribal communities across the Southwest and Northern Plains. Year-round, we deliver about 5 million pounds of new and high-quality goods to the reservations for immediate relief from impoverishment. In addition, PWNA provides educational assistance, supports the work in process by reservation communities and helps build more capacity. This approach respects local goals and priorities and supports more self-sufficient American Indian communities.

Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas is a non-profit agency that coordinates the investigation and prosecution of severe child abuse cases (severe physical abuse, child sexual abuse, and witnesses to violence) for law enforcement and the Department of Family & Protective Services. We also work with the District Attorney’s Office and medical professionals to provide a full range of wraparound services. The Advocacy Center also provides family advocacy and counseling services to the children and their family members including food and clothing assistance; Back to School, and Christmas assistance; case updates and filing for Crime Victims Compensation and VINE; and evidence-based, trauma-informed individual counseling, group counseling, and play therapy - all completely free of charge to the family.
