United Producers, Inc. took shape in 1999 through the consolidation in operations of Producers Livestock Association (Ohio/Indiana) and MFA Livestock (Missouri). Over the next two years, UPI brought into its operations the Interstate Producers Livestock Association (Illinois) and the Michigan Livestock Exchange (Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky). In 2020, UPI assumed operations of Tennessee Livestock Producers from the Tennessee Farm Bureau. Through our original identities, we have provided livestock services to our farmer members for over 70 years. Today, United Producers, Inc. services 35,000 members in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Tennessee. We operate 30 facilities and handle approximately 3 million head of livestock annually.

Heimerl Farms is a highly dedicated family run farming operation located 20 minutes northeast of Columbus in Johnstown, Ohio. Johnstown is home to not only our main office, but also the farm which started our swine enterprise many years ago. The main office is responsible for payroll, record keeping, computer operations, phone calls, feed ordering and processing, etc., which are necessary for our business. One major component vital to our operation located in Johnstown is our recently added on to feed processing facility. At this state of the art facility nearly 60% of our pigs are fed through the feed processed here each day. Although the main office is located in Johnstown, Heimerl Farms Ltd. has many swine operations located throughout the state.
