On With Life was the dream of a dedicated, passionate group of survivors and their families, faced with the challenge of rebuilding lives shattered by brain injury. Today, On With Life is proud to provide a continuum of specialty services for persons with acquired traumatic brain injury, including: Post-Acute Inpatient Program: Located in Ankeny, Iowa, this is Iowa’s only post-acute inpatient brain injury rehabilitation program. Our sole focus is helping people get on with life after traumatic or acquired brain injury or other neurological disorder. Long-Term Skilled Care Facility: Located in Glenwood, Iowa, this 32-bed program is Iowa’s only skilled care program specifically designed for youth and younger adults with brain injury or other neurological disorder. Outpatient Program: Located in Ankeny, this program was developed to meet the outpatient therapy needs of brain injury survivors. Community Services: This program assists individuals to maintain functional life skills while living in their homes and actively participating in their communities. Neuropsychological Evaluation and Consultation Services: A neuropsychological evaluation is designed to study brain-behavior interactions, the health of the individual’s brain, and the problems that brain dysfunction can cause. Apartments at Owl Creek: Located in Ankeny, this service is for persons who experience long-term disability following a brain injury and are able to live independently.
